BICSc Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite (CPSS)

Why Attend?

Unlike the current COPC model, this scheme gives a bit more flexibility. BICSc have taken the most popular skills from its portfolio and a made them into a skills suite for today’s cleaning industry.

Three mandatory skills underpin all tasks within the scheme. With these skills, the candidate will be able to understand the fundamentals of what makes an operative a professional cleaner.

The CPSS is suitable for anyone involved in the cleaning industry cleaning operatives, housekeepers, supervisors, managers, team leaders and apprentices.

What's Covered In The Course?

The CPSS was created as an alternative route to the Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate (COPC), and It encompasses three Mandatory Units:-

• Chemical Competence
• Equipment Safe Use and Care
• Storage of Chemicals and Equipment

There are another 25 core skills, as well as specialist skills available to suit all environments and their requirements. The Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite can be used to support, or in addition to, the COPC and will allow candidates to learn what is directly relevant to them and the environment that they clean within, to meet the specific needs of each business and industry.

A list of the additional 25 core skills and headline of the specialist skills / specialist environment are listed on the attached pages, there will be expansion upon the specialist aspects as soon as these have been released and assessors become qualified to deliver them.
