Carillion Defence
A high profile site for a very large facilities management company, where the client places an emphasis on using microfibre, and tied with the strong desire and understanding to offer BICSc Accredited Training very readily accepted the opportunity through Women in Work to upskill seven female members of their cleaning staff.
This was a launch pad for the specially designed NICE BICSc Accredited Microfibre Training scheme, specifically focused on this modern method of cleaning, which requires more emphasis being placed on the skill and technique to achieve effective results.
Before commencing delivery our director responsible for training quality control spent some time working with a leading manufacturer of microfibre cleaning products, this resulted in a very successful outcome for the client and candidates, with some the most up to date BICSc Accredited microfibre skills training currently available in the UK.
Suffolk Traded Services
As NICE continue to work closely with the Schools Caretaking and Cleaning division of Suffolk Traded Services (part of Suffolk County Council), opportunity arose again through the Women in Work Government funded initiative to upskill key members of the county wide cleaning team.
The client had previously held BICSc Accredited Centre status, though this had lapsed some time ago and NICE were brought in to work out ways in which this could be reinstated, with continued support to ensure the required standard of performance is maintained.
Individuals were divided into manageable teams for delivery of BICSc COPC Stage 1 Accredited Training, and further quantities of individuals were selected for delivery of BICSc Train The Trainer, with a view to progressing some through to BICSc Assessor status at a later date.
Delivery was arranged on site at two strategic points in Suffolk in an effort to accommodate some of the logistical challenges faced, some of these arising from the varied working hours of their staff, and also working to minimise the disruption at busy school locations during their normal term time.
Rubbermaid Commercial Products
Through close working partnership with one of the leading microfibre cleaning equipment manufacturers in the world we agreed to train a key member of their sales team to the BICSc Accredited level. This was seen as a very positive step forward for clients they have requiring guidance and support with this modern way of cleaning.
The training was undertaken by our director responsible for quality control, which delivered even greater benefits for all concerned, mainly because of his wealth of knowledge and experience with BICSc and the cleaning industry.
Future plans are to continue working closely with other leading suppliers, which will bring further benefit to our clients and the learners.
